ILLCIT CROISSANTS AT DAWN: my first review

A few weeks before publication, I sent a pdf of my book to a poet I follow on Substack who is incredible. I’d been a little nervous - after all I’d never written a single poem until early 2024. And his work is really amazing, and he has a bazillion super-poet followers. I held my breath, sucked in my tummy (well, not that, because of, well, you know….), and crossed my finger.
