OCEAN GALLOP
Oh, to gallop along the ocean,
On a horse gathering speed,
With your seat out of the saddle,
And his mane tickling your nose.
Feel him gather himself beneath you,
As he powers across wet sand,
Let him stretch his neck and body,
Feel your soul sing as he runs!
Zigzag in and out the shoreline,
Prance through waves, it’s so much fun!
Breathe in sea-spray, horse-scent, leather,
Close your eyes and feel it all!
This was the last of Beth Kempton’s TINYSUMMERPOEMS, the prompt today was OCEAN. They’ve been so much fun to play with!
