UNFORGOTTEN

Unforgotten

Jumping into traffic to catch my red balloon.

An English lady in Geneva

On the wrong side of the road,

Goodness gracious! Safe and sound.

Your powdery floral scent,

Lives in my memory.

Ponds cold cream on your dressing table.

The beaded glass mirror I so adored.

Swingball on the terrace during long French summers.

Seeking ponies in the New Forest.

Picnics and giggles by the brook.

Trips to Woolthworths for pony books.

Holidays just you and me.

Bournemouth shopping, trips to the sea.

Dallas, Abba, Auntie Bea.

My unforgotten Nana, Ann Connolly.
